How to run multiple OS on a single computer in 6 Steps

It’s possible to run multiple operating system like windows along with Linux or vice-versa.


Step 1 :
For this, we need Virtual Box can be available from : https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

Step 2 :
Choose the version specific to your machine and install.
After installation complete, run the virtual box.
Choose New -> Give name like Ubuntu (if u want to run from windows)
Type : Linux,   Version: 32 bit | 64 bit

Step 3 :
Memory Size  ->  512 MB. Higher than this will be recommended.
Ram Size -> Min. 8 GB

Step 4 :
Choose -> create a virtual hard disk drive now (for fresh run).
Choose-> Hard drive file type as VDI(for iso file) or VHD(for linux package in separate drive).
Choose-> Storage on physical hard drive as Dynamically allocated
Specify where to use the location for running the new OS.

Now, your virtual machine is initialized. Finally, to chose the location of your secondary OS file.

Step 5 :
Right Click -> OS file to run(available on left top) and choose settings ->Storage ->Controller : IDE -> browse & select the ISO file->Ok.

Step 6:
Now, Right Click-> OS file name ->Select Start.
That’s’ it.. You are ready to run Ubuntu alongside with windows.
